In Love With Pumpkins

“I would rather sit on a pumpkin, and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion.”  ― Henry David Thoreau

I love fall. Yesterday was the first day of this season and today I'm watching leaves drift to the ground, floating delightfully before they land. Tis the season for pumpkins, apple cider, and building a better nest to stay cozy in as fall turns to winter.

Don't you just love the quote above? Well, we have lots of pumpkins in the shop. Some are of a velvet nature, others more earthy fabrics. All hand made. Then there are pumpkin signs, pumpkin books, pumpkin dolls, and pumpkin candles and gift items.

Some charming pumpkins throughout the shop. Come by and say hello to fall. We love chatting with our customers!

Find your perfect pumpkin!

All dressed up!

Beautiful , shimmery silver pumpkin

This guy is waiting for Halloween to pull some pranks!

Sweet farmhouse pumpkin!

Hand crafted pumpkins!

A wee gem of stacked pumpkins!

More soft stuffed hand crafted pumpkins!

And hand painted wood pumpkins . . .

And sweet pumpkin soaps make perfect gifts.

Set a charming fall table with a pumpkin centerpiece!

The perfect pumpkin book!

I don't know about you . . . but all this pumpkin talk has made me hungry for a piece of pumpkin pie! Guess what's for lunch today!

Plan A Fun Fall Saturday In Old Town

Fall is in the air and you know what that means . . . a great time for an outing. This Saturday, September 19, is a perfect day to visit Old Town, Lilburn. Starting at 9am through 1 pm there is a White Elephant Sale at City Hall. Who knows what treasures you might find! Then come by the shop, we open at 10 am, and see all the new items our dealers have brought in this week. And what better way to wrap up the afternoon or evening,  lunch or dinner at the 1910 Public House and live music at Music on Main Street.

Our newest dealer is Barbara Barth. No stranger to Old Town, she had a shop across the street a few years ago. She stopped selling antiques to start writing. But once antiques get in your blood it is hard to let go. She has a small booth at the end of the downstairs ramp that is slowly filling up with little gems and jewelry, ranging from vintage, Native American Turquoise, and one-of-a kind assemblage pieces.

Check out these wonderful fall items throughout the shop!
