 Yall's come on by....Just arrived Vintage glass neon letters...They are clear glass , 29 inches tall. Southern to the core. Would look great hanging from the ceiling or hung on a wall.

Green with Envy...

  After looking at all the wonderful rooms on Where Bloggers Create 2013....I got a wild hair to paint my pale oak work room library table my favorite color green... same color as the walls .     Amazing what you can do at 10:00 pm  " Hero was sleeping " My helpers left their approval ..... look close.

  Pumpkin and Princess just had to jump up and see what I had done.Curious Cats ! Just had to put there PAWS on it.

  Victoria Magazine has out a WONDERFUL issue on Monograms....I will be looking more closely at all the old linens that come my way.

 Sunday was spent at the Atlanta Gift Mart....We walked about  30 miles hunting  for some great treasures for the Shop. Found a few great things. Hoping they arrive ASAP.  It is hard to shop for Christmas in summer. Shop owners are always having to look for the next Holiday Season. Makes you want to slow down and enjoy the now !

Beautiful Sunset...

 Last night as I was creating these little Bird books....this is what I saw out the window ! AMAZING SUNSET...It only lasted about 5 minutes. Nothing we create can compare. I hurried to find my camera so I could capture the Beautiful Sunset.

Sunday Showers...

  Another Shower filled Sunday... Sunday was a great day to finally sew up  shower curtains for our claw foot tub. It takes two... to cover both sides... So Sunday was spent  measuring...cutting and stitching. When I finally got these done and up I realized that the window needed a curtain too. So this is what my wet Sunday produced.

  The bathroom is a great place to display my old green dustpan collection....right above the cats litter box...very convenient !

  My little hand towels that spell WASH. Took awhile to find these....

Celebrating the Fourth...

  Antiques in Old Town IS OPEN TODAY

Due to RAIN...Lilburns Fireworks have been postponed until September first. Celebrating with out them  !  The Shop will be OPEN ....10:00 to 5:00 today....Playing in the RAIN encouraged. Come by and see us , Hugh will cook you up a July 4th Hot Dog !

Mannequin plus Lace...

  Our August Romantic Homes magazines have arrived ! They go fast... come get one quick.

  One of the prettiest Lace covered mannequins is featured...A fun thing to do with all those little lace pieces we save. Have you tried this ?  I am looking for that perfect form to use all my scraps on. The hunt is on...

1st day of Summer....

 Sharing my Summer Garden spot at Lilburn's Community Garden. Everything has grown so much.

 Those are little yellow pear tomatoes...our first ripe ones !

 This is my friend Sharron's plot. She planted Zinnias and Sunflowers.

 The Morning Glory seeds are growing like crazy...waiting for flowers...heavenly blue.

This is my neighbors space...Michael and Nancy share a plot.  Michael planted herbs from seeds ! LOOK how big they are already. This has been so fun sharing and watching whats UP.... Happy First Day of SUMMER !

Linen's and Lace....

 The Shop is overflowing with BEAUTIFUL Linen's and Lace. We have so many great handmade pieces for all your projects.  All these pieces took hours to create....a lost art in our instant world. Ladies would spend months crocheting bedspreads and intricate table covers as gifts and for their own homes.

  I am amazed at all the different patterns and designs.

  Victorian dresses had so many hours of handwork in them...the lace embellishment is so wonderful.

  Think of all the BEAUTIFUL tables that were set with handmade lace.

  Do not forget all the bed linens...Makes you definitely feel like a Princess.

 One can NEVER have too much LACE !

Hang on to it....

            I am so glad that old photos are still around. Last week I was able to purchase a lot of  old family photos.  No one knows who the people are any  more, their  identities  are lost to time. We live in a world that does not print pictures anymore.  Photos are a time capsule of our History.  Its a good reminder to help preserve our Heritage for future generations. Print those Pictures !
