We have three windows full...Battenburg Lace Panels that is... And a great old bourgeois doll. New set of old chairs and a Happy Hero with  Wiskers the new Shop Cat.

Summer Whites...

 Sunday my Hero and I went for an Antique Hunt down South... We found lots of Fun Shops to hunt for TREASURES in. The best part of our trip was the lovely picnic we had in a little park while waiting for the shops to open. We sat in the shade and enjoyed a lovely breeze... that was the coolest part of the day. None of the shops had air so we were dripping by the time we left...HEAT does not STOP a true ANTIQUARIAN !  My best find was this drying rack with original old white paint !

What a WONDERFUL FOURTH... Thousands turned out for Sparkle in the Park...AMAZING !  Great Job CITY OF LILBURN !  We roped off the Shop front and had Friends in to watch the Fireworks...best seats in the house. ( we are right across from the park ) We grilled hot dogs had potato salad , baked beans , watermelon , cupcakes etc. Perfect 4th fare.... With it being 98 out , it was wonderful to be able to go in the Shop to get cool.     Calling Ellie...You Won one of my Make Do Pockets...My Blog Anniversary give away ! Happy Birthday AMERICA ! The shop is strutting all kinds of wonderful Flag Waving Americana.We will be OPEN on the Fourth ! Our City is having a great Fourth of July Celebration...Sparkle in the Park !  Starting at 10:00am there will be a Bike Rodeo Parade , so bring your decorated bikes and join in. Prizes for the fanciest bikes in the Parade. Lots of activities for Kids will begin at 4:00pm and go until 9:00pm in the Park. Following at 9:30pm by a  professional fireworks show ! So bring your blankets and chairs and your appetite as food and drinks will be offered . GOD BLESS AMERICA...

Restful Whites...

What is it about White tones that make them so restful ? What I love is all the textures that White invokes...  The way light plays off the Lace. I especially love Old Vintage Lace that has aged so beautifully ! That warm inviting creamy color .  We have LACE...

WOW...18 years !

WOW...how has 18 years gone so QUICKLY ! On the 20th it was our 4 year Anniversary of Antiques in Old Towns Blog and Our 18th year in business. 675 posts...I still can not believe it ! This last month was a whirlwind ...With a trip to Washington State for Farm Chicks Show , then home to do the Roswell Lavender Festival and Hosting Kim Poovey's book signing. I almost forgot that it was our Anniversary. Kim's book signing went splendid , she met so many great people...and a few discovered the Shop for the first time. During Kim's signing our city was hosting our monthly garage sale...of course I had to sneak away and shop it ! The shop is now offering a sweet smallish Eastlake fainting couch for sale ! The Shop is FULL of new TREASURES.  In CELEBRATION of our 4 years of Blogging we are offering  not one but four of my Make Do Pockets...to four LUCKY Winners. Lovely Lavender...

Saturday we had such a great time at Roswell's Lavender Festival. Jocelyn and Kevin of The Painted Fern sat up next to me. They both are so talented and make WONDERFUL things. A BEAUTIFUL day...lots of Lavender Lovers. The grounds at Barrington Hall were AMAZING...all abloom.  This will be a yearly event not to miss.
